Kam's Test Zone > Portfolio > Web Sites

These are some of the Web Sites that I have created/contributed to. If you are wondering why the small quantity of them, it's because I focus on quality, not quantity.

Superhandz

http://www.superhandz.com

click to visit the website! Superhandz has long been a dream of Underground Master Manipulator, De'vo. It is a place to showcase Master Manipulators and their creations, as well as a central location to share and learn from other experts. The site features many forms of manipulations, including xtreme card manipulation, pen spinning, sport stacking, xtreme digits, and others. To develop this site, it has taken me many months of work (while attending school). Just about every graphic on the site was created from scratch (except the original pictures, of course). This has been one of the most challenging web sites I've created, because I wanted to make it as backward compatible as possible, while maintaining the site's ability to stretch to fit your browser. Well, you can see the result for yourself.

Integrity Home Builders

http://www.integritybldrs.com

click to visit the website! This is a site I made for a friend (and great pencil spinner), David Weis. This site was pretty much created from scratch, though he provided me pictures and the content. The design was kept simple, but professional to attract prospective clients.

Universal Pen Spinning Board

http://www.pentrix.com/upsb2

click to visit the website! The Universal Pen Spinning Board (UPSB) is the result of a project first created to replace most Pen Spinning message boards. Since Pen Spinnning is not a main stream hobby, any message board dedicated to this hobby would usually have only a few users. To solve this problem, and make it convenient for users to discuss every aspect of Pen Spinning in one place, I've created UPSB. The difference in this board compared to previous ones is that any webmaster can put a link to UPSB, and UPSB will link back to that site as well. This allows users to go to a single place for all their Pen Spinning needs.

Although I did not program all the code to make this board work, I did make some changes to the popular phpbb software, and customized the layout of the entire board. If you register, you can also choose an alternative pink layout (made with girls in mind) to use.

Alfa Scientific Designs

http://www.alfascientific.com

click to visit the website!I've redesigned this site for Alfa Scientific, a local manufacturer of diagnostics tests. The entire layout was built in Photoshop and Dreamweaver, though most of the content was already there. I also help maintain the site and do some of their graphical work.

Kam's Test Zone - Version 1.0

http://www.geocities.com/kams_test_zone

click to visit the website! This is the old version of this site. At the time, I wanted to give it a more dark and metalic look. I guess the design lacked on graphics and content. But it was my first site ever done in Dreamweaver, and I learned a lot from making it.

Pentrix - Pen Spinning Revolution

http://www.pentrix.com

click to visit the website! This site is meant to replace Pentix, with a new name, look, and content. However, because of unpredicted incidents, the site was forced to be released much earlier than expected. Since then, I have not had the chance to move all the content from Pentix. That's the reason for the simplicity in design and lack of content in this site. A new and better version of this site should be coming as soon as I find time to make it.

Pentix - The Art of Pen Spinning

http://www.pentrix.com/pentix

click to visit the website! This is a site about the art of "pen spinning". If you don't know what that is, try to recall if you've ever seen someone in your classroom playing with a pen, twirling it or making it go around the thumb; perhaps doing things that made you wonder how it was possible. Better yet, if you're still not sure, just check out the site. This site was entirely created and maintained by Kam, the creator of Kam's Test Zone. Update: This site is no longer updated, but you can find a replacement site at www.pentrix.com

Pentix - Flash version

http://www.pentrix.com/flash

click to visit the website! This was a class project for my Flash class. The site was never completed or made it live, but you can still see how it would look like. Being my first site done entire in Flash, I'm fairly happy with it, though I need to put more time to finish it and make it more maintainable.

Pentix - Version 2000

http://www.pentrix.com/pentix_v231

click to visit the website! This is an earlier version of Pentix. The design of this one was made with the bandwidth conservation in mind. But still, the site end up exceeding it monthly data rate all the time and I end up having to move to another hosting service. This is a functional site for archival purposes only.

Pentix - Version 99

http://www.pentrix.com/pentix_v131

click to visit the website!Yet another earlier version of Pentix. I really like this design though. All the graphics and JavaScript code were hand written by me. But since it was a pain to maintain all the code, the site was never finished. It was also the last version of Pentix to support two languages. This is a functional site for archival purposes only.

Paul's Class Web Site

http://daphne.palomar.edu/pruez

click to visit the website! This was the 'Final Project' for my 'Web Page Layout for the Internet' class (GC202 at Palomar College). It was a team effort involving students from both of my teacher's class. It showcases all of the students works and web sites. I did most of the design creation and helped put together this web site, while the other students were in charge of developing the flash banners and the scripts to work with them. This project has helped me learn a lot about team work, communications skills, deadlines, among other things.
