Ever wondered how some people can spin their pen around their Thumb so casually during classroom lecture? Only to try it out and become even more frustrated? Well, don't stress yourself anymore. Pentix is here to help you.

06/19/2003 - Minor Update...

Besides making some changes to the UPSB chat the last few days, I've also updated the Kam's modded RSVP article. The design that I use inside of my pens is finally available for your download. Many people have been requesting this, so here it is.

06/17/2003 - Introducing our new chatroom...

UPSB logoFinals are finally over. And although it seems that I haven't done much in the last two months, there has been a lot going on behind the scenes. Our board members who have been visiting the board knows all about it. There's a great amount of projects that I've been working on (most pen spinning related). We're about to get a complete site redesign, a brand new message board (the UPSB), a new video format (with its own Flash-based Videoplayer), and much more.

The first of all these projects that have been finished is a new chatroom, which is part of the UPSB (Universal Pen Spinning Board). Now you won't have to wait a day or two to get a response on a question. Please visit our new UPSB Chat New!.

04/28/2003 - One more Pen Mod, and something for your reading pleasure...

For those who liked Nate's pens, I hope you'll enjoy this one. This is the pen I use. This current version is the one I'll be using for shooting videos. It's essentially the same one I used for many of my videos before, but with a nicer look. For all of those who aske "What the h*ck type of pen does Kam use in his videos?", now your question will be answered. Enjoy =)

Something that I have written a while ago, but never posted just came to my attention. I guess I was hoping to wait until a new section was up (the Articles section) until I posted it. But seeing that I have not updated the site that much lately, I'll post it now. Learning Guidelines is something that I compiled over the years. Hopefully, you'll take my opinions with an open mind, as they might not work the same way for everyone. Here, you'll find some insights of my pen spinning philosophy. These and other documents can be found at the Articles section.

On another news, the Message Board has been undergoing a major reorganization. To keep the size of the board small, and everything organized, our moderators have been working hard. Also, you may now sign up for our mailing list. All you need to do is register a free account on the Message Board, and join the 'Mailing List' usergroup. You'll receive update notification and other important information by e-mail.

04/19/2003 - Pen Modifications and a new form of communication...

One of our dedicated pen spinners, Nate, has recently sent me a few pictures of his pens. It's now pretty well-known that some of the best pen spinner use pens that they have personally modified to fit their needs. Pentix brings the first screenshots of some of these pens. Check them out!

For those who want to interact with other pen spinners, but don't want to go through the trouble of using a message board, we have good news. PenStudioz has recently created a TagBoard. TagBoard is a mix between a chatroom and a message board (visit the official TagBoard website for more information). You don't have to wait days to see a reply like in a message board, but you don't lose all messages once you leave like in a chatroom. Try it, I'm sure you'll like it.

New link: I've been wanting to put this link for months, but somehow it has always slipped my mind. If you like any form of artistic manipulation or play any skill toys, I'm sure you'll like to try your hands on Devil Sticks. DevilStick.de is by far the best site I've found on the subject. Oh, and they have an English version of the site (I'd be completely lost otherwise).

02/25/2003 - Update Links...

Without much time for anything lately, I'm unable to do any good major updates. But I did update the Links sections with a couple links (Malabarismo.Ar and MagicVideoDepot.com).

I'm also working on a possible new design for Pentix. More on that later.

02/01/2003 - Freestyle video...

Ok, after a long month working with this video, and transferring file between Pentix and SuperHandz, we finally put the video out. Many thanks go to Mack (for hosting the video) and to the team at SuperHandz. Visit Pen Spinning section at SuperHandz to see what this new video is all about.

Also, for those who haven't been following the Message Board, David Weis has put up a new pencil spinning web site. Check it out as there are amazing new videos there too.

01/07/2003 - New Video coming soon...

The new year has come and there's not much going on lately. In conjunction with Superhandz.com, I've been working on a Pen Spinning showcase video these last few months. You can expect something incredible coming soon. Superhandz showcases some of the greatest manipulators of our era. From cards, coins, and pen spinning, to lockpicking, cup stacking, and sunglass manipulations, there's something there for everyone. Check it out.

Meanwhile, don't forget to check out the Message Board, where there's always a good discussion on the latest pen tricks (I can't put all the tricks on the website, but the Message Board is a great place to mention them).

11/20/2002 - More New Videos

Wow, it's been almost a month since the last update already? How time flies...In the last update, I uploaded some new videos. Well, here are two more videos: the Spider Spin and the Double Charge (the later is under the Combos page).

I've also added descriptions to the trick families in the Tricks page of the Videos section. Hopefully, now it will be more clear how I classify all these tricks.

Last, but not least, there's one great link added to the Links page. Superhandz is not just a site about card (and other) flourishes. It has some of the most difficult and amazing card manipulations I've ever seen.

10/29/2002 - New Videos

After two months of no good content updates, here's a couple of videos I finally set down to film. Ok, so they are not that impressive, but it's something new that you can work on while I try to get more videos done. The new videos are the Fingerless 360 and the Triangle Pass.

I've also finished another section in the About page. Check out the history of Pentix here.

09/24/2002 - Links Updates...

Ok, so I haven't updated any major new content yet, but I'm working on it (blame it on my laziness and lack of time :P). For now, I added a link to a new pen spinning site (PenstudioZ) and updated one link (Pen Spin). If you haven't already, bookmark them or update your bookmarks. You can find these and other links here.

08/23/2002 - Miscellaneous Updates...

My connection is finally back, and I've already started to work on new content for the site. For now, I added an new link to the Links page as well as a few tips to the Videos page.

08/15/2002 - Pen Spinners Section removed...

Since the old Pen Spinners section has been incorporated into the new Message Board, there's no point on leaving the section there. All users registered with the old Pen Spinners section should have been warned that the section was closing and being incorporated.

If you are still unfamiliar with the news, here's a summary: The old Pen Spinners section listed people who frequent this web site and who wanted to be known among other pen spinners. It listed personal information such as living location, pen tricks learned, age, etc. However, it was troublesome to keep and required a separate registration process than the message board. Now, the functions of that section have been incorporated into the message board. When you register for an account in the msg board, your profile will let you input all the information that was previously listed in the old Pen Spinners section. You can also update the information at any time by clicking the Profile button in the Message Board section. A list of all pen spinners can be found by clicking the Memberlist button in the Message Board.
